• Madden NFL 21 (PS4/PS5, XB1, XB1X) 1v1 - Best of 1 format until playoffs, Best of 3 format during Playoffs and Finals

12 Day period where participants play 1 match a day 

Playoffs

Top performers from the first tournament phase are invited to a single-elimination bracket tournament. Brackets will be separated into a NFC and AFC Division 

Championships

Top performers from the NFC and AFC Playoffs will face off in a single elimination Super Bowl style Grand Final

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

First you will have to join the Dwight Freeney Third N' Long community on Generation Esports. To do so, you need to visit this link that will take you to the community page, and click on the "Join" button as shown below.


If you don't have an account yet, you will be prompted to create one. Otherwise you can log in to your existing account.
 

You will then see a welcome screen to a short form that will finalize your community application. Once these steps are complete and you see a success message, you can follow the instructions below to register for the tournament: 

1. Navigating to the tournament page: From your dashboard, click "Tournaments" on the left menu bar and select "Competitions." Here you will see different tournaments running on Generation Esports. An easy way to filter out the 3rd and Long tournaments is to type "3NL" in the search bar. Once you have found the correct tournament, click on the image that represents your choice and you will be taken to the tournament overview page.
   
   
   
2. Registration: From the tournament overview page, hit the "Register Now" button and then "Register as Individual". There is no need to create a team or roster for this tournament as only individual registrations are accepted.
   
   
   
   
3. Game Connections: If you don't already have a game connection for Madden 21, you will be prompted to add it before you can register. Simply type in your existing Madden username and hit the "Continue" button.
   
   
   
4. Purchase Your Battle Pass: Lastly, if you don't already have the 3rd N Long Tournament Pass, you will be asked to purchase it so that your registration can be completed. Select the "Purchase Passes" button and complete the transaction. 
   
   
   
   After that you should see the image below that confirms your successful registration.
   
   

WHEN DO WE PLAY OUR MATCHES?

Players may queue up for one match a day, at either 7pm EST and or 9pm EST every Monday thru Saturday. 

HOW DO WE SEE OUR MATCHUPS?

Our queue system is very similar to queue systems that have become standard in many online games. The big difference is we offer queue windows for each competition so teachers and teams can be aware of when to have their teams ready. For example, if you wanted to play in a 7pm match on Monday you would press the join queue button on your dashboard from anywhere between 7pm and 7:15pm to be queued for a match. Once the queue closes 15 minutes after it opens, all players in the queue will be assigned their opponent and then you’ll all be automatically sent to a new match page where you can communicate with your opponent. From there you’ll create the game lobby, play your match, and then come back to the platform to report your score.

HOW CAN WE GET IN CONTACT WITH OUR OPPONENT?

All players need to utilize the Match Chat feature on the Generation Esports platform to communicate with their opponent. Once your queue "pops" for your weekly match, you will be able to contact your opponent directly through the match page.

HOW DO WE REPORT SCORES OR FORFEITS?

To report scores or forfeits, click on the match from your dashboard and scroll to the section called, “Report Match Score.” If the match was forfeited, click the “win by forfeit” box under the winner’s name. Scores must be reported as soon as the match is completed.

HOW CAN WE REPORT RULE VIOLATIONS OR TOXIC BEHAVIOR?

Please join the Generation Esports Discord Server and Ping the @support role and let them know you need to talk with someone. Do not discuss these issues in public channels. If you need to report a rule violation or toxic behavior after a match has completed please submit a match dispute.
