Knockout City

1. Anti-Cheat

No additional anti-cheat is required for official matches.


2. Match Procedure

Supported Platforms

  • XB1 Series S and X
  • Nintendo Switch

This game supports crossplay. All teams competing in this tournament will face each other, regardless of what system they play on.

2.1. Series Lengths

Matches are played as a best of 3 series for the Regular Season, Playoffs and Finals.

2.2. Game Lobby

The home team will create the lobby and invite the away team. The away team will have the choice if they start as the Blue or Orange Team, this decision will remain for the rest of the series. 

  • Match Setting: Private Match
  • Game Mode: 3v3 KO


3. Restrictions

3.1 Intentional Disconnection

Players may not intentionally disconnect from their match for any reason other than when a reset has been called or otherwise instructed by a HSEL Administrator. Intentions disconnections may lead to a game forfeit being issued against the offending team. 

3.2. Spectators

Spectators are permitted in game lobbies for the sole purpose of streaming their school team’s match to the School’s Twitch or Youtube channel or to record the match. Spectators may not have any communication with team members while the game is currently being played and must not be a member of the roster participating in the match. At the end of the match, the stream vod or an unedited copy of the recording must be shared with the other team


4. Stoppage of Play

4.1 Disconnections

A game reset may be called if a player disconnects from a match if the following conditions are met

  • The disconnection happens within the first 30 seconds of Round 1
  • No player has lost a stock
  • No points have been scored by either team
  • Neither team has a player engaged with the opposing team

All other disconnections will result in the game continuing with the remaining players. The disconnected player may rejoin the lobby for the next game. 


5. Team Rosters

Knockout City team rosters require a minimum of 3 players, and a maximum of 5 players (3 starters and 2 substitute players). Rosters that do not meet or exceed the required number of players will not be allowed to participate in official matches until their roster size meets the set requirements. Player substitutions may happen between games.
