1. Anti-Cheat

No additional anti-cheat is required for official matches.

 

2. Match Procedure

Supported Platforms

  • PS4
  • XB1

2.1. Series Lengths

Matches will be played as a best of 3 series during the Regular Season and a best of 5 series during the Playoffs and Finals

2.2. Game Lobby

The home team will create the lobby using the following settings. 

  • Difficulty: All-Star
  • Period Length: 4 Minutes
  • Game Type: Competitive
  • Rules: NHL
  • Fighting: Off
  • Penalties: On
  • Injuries: Off
  • Offsides: Delayed
  • Icing: Hybrid Icing
  • Tie Break: Continuous Overtime
  • Position Lock: Off
  • Music and Announcers: Off

 

3. Restrictions

3.1. Pausing the Game

Pausing the game is prohibited for any reason other than to call a timeout. If a player pauses the game and does not immediately use one of their timeouts, they will forfeit the remainder of the game to their opponent. The match series will then move on to the next game if there are any that remain to be played. 

 

4. Stoppage of Play

4.1. Player Disconnection

If a player disconnects from the game for any reason, they will immediately forfeit the current game. The match will then move on to the next game if any remain to be played in the series. 

 

5. Team Rosters

Only one roster is required for all NHL 21 players on a School Team. Each player on the roster will be given their own match when they queue up at the designated match time. The use of substitute players in official matches is prohibited.
