1. Anti-Cheat

No additional anti-cheat is required for official matches.


2. Match Procedure

Supported Platforms

  • PC
  • Playstation (PS4, PS5)
  • Xbox (XB1, XBSX)
  • Nintendo Switch

2.1. Series Lengths

Matches will be played in a Best of 5 Series.

2.2. Game Lobby

All games will be played in a 1v1 lobby with the following settings. 

  • Game Mode: Stock
  • Teams: Off
  • Lives: 3
  • Match Time: 8:00
  • Gadgets: Off
  • Test Features: Off
  • Map: 1v1
  • Region: US-East
  • Friends: Off
  • Clanmates: Off
  • Room Number: On
  • Max Players: 2
  • Map Choosing: Tournament Striking
  • Blind Pick: Off

2.3. Character Selection

2.3.1. Game 1

The away player will have first choice of their character, afterwards the home player will choose their character. Once a character have been selected neither player may change to a new character before the start of the game. 

2.3.2. Following Games

For games after game 1, the player who lost the previous game will have the option of changing their character. The winner of the previous game must remain on their previously chosen character. 

2.4. Map Striking

During the first game of the series, the home player will strike all but three stages from the map pool. The away player will then choose from the three remaining stages. In following games, the player who lost the previous game will strike all but three stages, and the home player will select the next map from the remaining stages.


3. Restrictions

3.1 Disabled Content

Any game content (Characters, Skins, Weapons, Emotes, etc) currently disabled in the Ranked or Normal game modes will be prohibited from use in official matches.


4. Stoppage of Play

4.1 Disconnection

Disconnections will be treated as a loss of the current game. Future games in the series will continue on as normal. A match forfeit will be issued to any player who disconnects two times during the same series. 


5. Team Rosters

Brawlhalla rosters are limited to 1 player, rosters that have more than 1 player will be unable to participate in official matches until the player count on the roster is reduced to 1. No substitutions may be made at any time.
