This article explains how to sign up for a Generation Esports account in order to register for competitions offered through the Catholic Youth Council.
Signing Up
- Sign up for a free account as a School.
- This will allow you to join the CYC Community and create a team (team admins only).
Game Connections
- All new signups will be prompted to set a game connection after creating an account.
- Team admins who are not competing can click "Skip all" in the bottom right.
- Select your game(s) from the icons & enter your in-game name(s) or "Screen Name".
- Include the numbers in the Battlenet tag and Switch Friend Code if applicable.
- To add any future game connections:
- Click “Connect Games” on the GenE Platform left-hand navigation.
- Click “Add Game Connection”, select the game, enter your screen name for that game, and save.
Adding Team Members
Under 13
- Generation Esports admins will create generic accounts for anyone under 13 years of age.
- Reach out to david@generationesports.com and Provide the # of accounts needed.
- You will receive a spreadsheet containing a list of generic usernames and login information that can be assigned to your players.
- This will be what they use to gain access to the Generation Esports platform.
- Please do not edit any of the account data to contain the personal information of students.
13+
- Click “Members” on your team page.
- Click “+ Add Member” and generate a link for team invitations.
- Members will be added once they sign up through the link.

Creating Rosters
- Click “Rosters” on your team page.
- Click “Create New”, name your roster, and select what game it is for.
- Click “Add Members” and select what team members you want on the roster.

Registering for a Tournament
- Click "Communities" from the left-hand navigation menu.
- Choose "Learn More" on the HSEL community and click the "Tournaments" tab.
- Select the tournament you want to register for and click “Register Now”.
- Select the roster you wish to register and click “Register Now”.
